Handicap accessable areas around the Kern?

My family and parents will be heading up to the Kern next weekend. I'm trying find nearby creeks (1/2 hr or so from Fairview Campground) that are easily accessed (no multiple mile hikes) by a person with a cane. The group will probably contain a couple toddlers as well. Any suggestions?

A couple of areas I am thinking of are Peppermint, Needlerock, Freeman or Brush Creeks.

Edit: The above areas off the S82 and the S12, are any doable with someone using a cane to walk?
