N. OC Perching WFO

Hey all,

I hit one of my local AO's a few days ago with my dad and girlfriend after doing some low tide scouting during a beach run.

Time: 6-9 AM
Wind: Minimal
Salad: Big in patches but avoidable
Arsenal: 8'6" Clarus paired with a Sedona 2500FD, 6'6" Clarus paired with a Citica 200e, 9' Okuma Celilo paired with a Sedona 2500FB
Bait: Camo sand worms, MORF sand worms, Blue/Chrome KM, sand crabs

In the first 30 minutes, we got a few dinks, but right around 6:45, the perch bite EXPLODED! :Big Grin: I've been in many crazy perch bites, but they never lose their fun! I just don't take as many pictures as I used to. :LOL:

We probably ended up with 50+ perch, and 1 bean. We celebrated with Alerto's breakfast burritos, mmmmhhhmmm!

What beach are you fishing? I used to pull decent size perch out of point dume, but can't fish there anymore. I've only been on freshwater lately, but I'm getting an itch to hit the surf!
