I am going to keep this brief and let the pics do the talking went out to the harbor with my GF a couple weeks ago to hang out took a nice walk down the boardwalk took the ferry to the balboa island and a date is not complete without fishing lols when I am near the water fishing has to be involved. Landed this huge batray 4 1/2 ft landed on 30 lb line.

Nice bat! I hate getting spooled by those things when I'm bass fishing in NPH.

And Wingnut, a SWAT kayak armada?!?! Oh no, now you all will catching all the fish on shore and on the water, there will be none left for us! :P

Whoa giant bat! I can tell that must have been one heck of a fight by the bend in your rod and the way your body is leaning. I usually don't have the patience to land those things. Nice job. I have that same shirt. :Cool:

That's a gigantic bat ray Jonathan, easily one of the biggest I've ever seen! Those things fight hard, and at that size it must have put up a pretty big struggle. Congrats!
