overnighter at big bear june 19th

so after graduation on the family dinner my buddy and i went on up the mountain got up there around 830 just before dark at the stanfield cutoff. we got there to lots of good signs lots of buggs, fish surfacing everywhere. we get the lights and everything set up then cast out, we didnt know the weeds were in full bloom!!!!! man the weeds there must have been over 4 feet off the bottom of the lake even with a bobber we were still getting hung up. we donated a lot of tackle to the lake!! we stayed at the stanfield cutoff till around 5 we were going for carp and cats, we caught 4 or 5 bullheads and a bunch of 3 pound carp, a local was bugging the shittaki outta us so we left to the last house on the north shore kinda by the dam. trout was wide open after we went there i caught my limit real quick you just had to cast over the weeds and have a decent size leader around 3 feet i would say. it was super fun i had a great time even though we didnt catch the 20 pound catfish we were fishing for all night. owell ill be back up there second week of july. oh ya i caught a bat he hit the line and we netted him and nursed him till he flew away haha. and sorry i forgot to take pics of the trout all caught on garlic char pb. all trout were holdovers nice pink meat around a pound, and man those fish put up a good fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tight lines!!! later im off to vegas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
