Went to perris hit the water @ 6 am in lots 11 & 12 with the drop shot robo worm on 1 pole and the jerk on the other. Soon as I got to the water I saw shad EVERYWHERE! tons of them gettin crushed on by bass. I threw the spook for a while for nothing and moved on into the bush's. Had 1 bite and he took my robo and nothing more but could hear the commotion a few yards down so i went back to where the shad were and threw on a jointed shad rapala and within 5 casts I hooked up http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/Sublime_Steve/S6300039.jpg

Kept on gettin weeds so i threw on the jerk rapala and nailed 4 more 1 got off http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/Sublime_Steve/S6300041.jpg

Shad are everywhere busting on fry. Its frustrating when there is action all around and you're getting no love. When were these pics taken? Was that by the rock pile on the pic from the boat? was the rapala a cd?

See ya on the lake

Later in the year the huge schools of shad can reach six inches and you can catch them on your fly rod.
