I set out to hit the lake for some crappie today & headed to the damn area since most spots where occupied before the damn ( go home lol just kidding) .
I started out on inflated crawlers & jiggin for the crappies & after only 2 crappies in 20 min stuck with trout. I got my first hook up at 730 am or so & the 2nd right after both nice hold overs from spring not winter still a lil beat up. Both gave the good fight. Things died down for a hour then I got another bite & landed a decent fish & took another shoot at the panfish. After 10 min i lose interest & toss out my other pole with PB on 6-7ft leader oh yes all or on PB with huge leader & in roughly 30-40ft of water by the boom line. Crawlers got no love but i was fishing em a lil deeper. It started to warm up & the wind kicked up so I bailed out.

Yup that's some BBL trout! When anybody says trout sucks to eat I say you haven't had BBL trout, basically salmon!

Thank God I have a Fat Tire 24 oz in the frig. That's one good looking beer and with that BBL Orange meat, oh man!!!!
