I have to take a trip from my home (near Reno and Tahoe) ... to the Dakotas area. Thought there might be a good stop along the way. Yellowstone River is all I recall.

I tried the Out of State board with no response. Sorry if I bothered anyone by putting it here. Was hoping to get some traffic.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated

TIA

There are a zillion places to fish up that way, Ive fished Montana and it was OK, bad timing though..

Be sure to check local regs on fishing, they have diff areas and diff species at diff times, Make sure and get appropriate Lic for time your fishing also..
Wardens are in force out of Calif...

It's been many years since I fished Yellowstone, but there are many good places to fish. Outside the park I had good luck on the Shoshone River, just west of Cody. I was fly fishing, catch and release. Not sure what the regs. are for that water.

Watch out for grizzlies.
