Irvine Regional Park fishing?

Does anyone have any information about the fishing at the small lake in Irvine Park?
Going to a family reunion get-together there next Sunday and thought the kids could all try fishing. Used to be some Channel cats and Bluegill in there...

Not sure but I heard that there are a few bass in there but are extremely difficult to fool into biting.

There is catfish and bass in the lake some nice size bass. Nightcrawlers work great for the catfish.
