View Full Version : Castaic Lake 06/18 upper lake. Stripers Slaying

Went out with Roskov and Eggot. We fished from noon to about seven and managed 22 fish. Largest fish was 5lbs.
Good times and good fishing. We hit that nice 5lber as the first fish on the troll on the way to the spot. Got to the spot, fished it for about and hour and nabbed a couple of fish, but I suspected we were too deep, moved in a little tighter to about 40ft of water and the fishing was consistant for a few hours. Things slowed down a bit, but we stayed on it and we were able to grab up a few more.
Weather was good to us, it didn't get too hot and the fish were biting, so all and all good times.

What spot are u talking about? Is it at the North End buoy line? thx

Was out there a couple weeks ago at the north end buoy line and got a chickensh*t ticket for using a bungy strap on the buoy line. Lifeguard who wrote it said it would be $35 got letter in mail the other day stating it was $189

Yeah guys, don't tie to the bouy line. I've seen a few people ticketed for it recently. I dont' know what's really so difficult about putting out some mooring bouys for boats to give them an alternative to tying onto the bouy. We all know that people do it becuase 150+ ft of anchor rope is punishment.
