Electra 6/12/11

So I went on a half day boat out of Helgrens in oceanside. Boat was the Electra and the captain was Ryan. So I knew it was gonna be a good trip.. boat left the dock at 1230.. left the dock headed to the bait barge got some phat dines.. head north toward San o.. on the way i setup my rig. I bought this pre made rockcod rig just to try it out. Wasn't hoping for much.. loaded it up on my jig 500 that had braid on it and a 8oz sinker.. I skipped the dines and went straight for the cut squid I brought from home.. cap says drop and we are off to the track,make it down and few seconds latter bam pole goes bendo. Start the long haul up and my first red of the day.. super stoked so down the bottom we go more squid. Blah blah blah blah.. then its time to go home 4 reds some starrie eyes and some sand dabs.. most of the starrie eyes are donated to kids and not so lucky anglers.. Jack pot went to a monster salmon grouper. All in all had Fun again on the Electra
