Hey guys,

A friend who is very new to surf fishing asked me to join him at one of my favorite spots, so naturally I could not refuse. Then, however, I realized that my surf set-up did not have any line on it. This realization occurred about 5 minutes before he was going to pick me up. Naturally, I decided to just wing it, so I grabbed my bay bass rig and a few Lucky Crafts and I was on my way.

He ended up catching 10+ perch on crack (I believe), while I nabbed 3 BSP's, and 1 nice little flattie. Pretty good morning for maybe an hour and 45 minutes of fishing. Minimal salad, moderate wind, and a slow tide.

This guy was a little too ambitious!

Wow that was a great short session.
From the looks of all the reports I've read today the Halibut spent more time on the beaches of SoCal then in the water..
Thanks for the report
