So I'm typically an avid fresh water guy (mostly trout) but older relatives all used to surf fish and I'm going to try out their gear. I am going completely off of things I've read from all of you (swat guys you give so much good info). I have an 11 ft rod with a shimano baitrunner. I found a very very old LC too I'll try as well as triangle sinkers w a lead and gulp minnows. I hope something good comes of this....
btw I have other rods but I think they're for deep sea...is 11ft as excessive as it sounds to me since I'm used to ultra light rods?
