The cool and over cast skies was perfect for kayaking today. Started at 7:00A in sail cove and fished the length of the dam trolling a crank for a pretty good early morning bite.

Left at noon with a tally of 12 bluegills and 2 trouts, all were released. Here's a pic of the biggest bluegill.

I believe that's a Redear a nice one at that. What Crank where you using?

That is correct, all 12 caught today were redears. The crank bait is a Yo-Zuri aile goby.

Nope, the ruler was donated to the lake and I haven't replaced it.

Yeah, I've donated a few things to the Fishing Gods of Lake Perris. I know what you're talking about. By the way, that Yo-Zuri bait is a great panfish catcher.

+1 about the Yo-Zuri, my favorite lure for sunfish!

Very nice..man, you have so much freaking free time to hit the lake! Too many family functions and commitments.
