Personally, crying over these bass is stupid.
The rules enforce releasing basses over 5 lbs, it's actually GOOD to keep smaller bass for this kind of fishery.

I dunno, kid seems pretty darn happy and satisfied with his stringer. Maybe he should just fish stripers so the bass-nazi's will take it easy on 'em.

Come on guys hes a kid. probably his first few largemouth ever. The population of bass isnt gonna go extinct because a 7 or 8 year old kid took a few bass.

Kid has a right to keep his fish even if we don't like it. Thats how it works, and if its within Corona laws, its legal. Chances are if he gets hooked on bassin', hes going to pick up C&R anyways

I would so like to see, one day, an FNN post of someone keeping a LMB that doesn't get blown up on, say a 2-3 lbs, don't want to push it with a 5lbs or better.

Use to fish LMB exclusively. Kept a few now and then from different lakes just to see if the water made any difference in the taste.
NOPE always tasted like crap to me. Clear cold water, muddy warm water, just warm clear water all tasted the same.
Always toss em back now. More fun to catch than eat anyway.

I completely agree, have only kept one in my life and it was horrible. But still feel the need to stick up for the rights to keep um, or maybe I just like to mess with the Nazi's.

im not a lmb nazi about keeping them, i understand its a kid i bet i would of wated to keep it to if i were to catch them at that age. i guess i can say i would perfer to see them released, but im not going to think twice if someone keeps it. it is the law and if some one wants to keep it who is to tell them they cant.
