where are you coming from???? i personally like the way up through crestline area then cut across to big bear. i think the back way by jenks has to many very sharp turns and i think it takes longer going that way. just my opinion.

from LA,

the back way trough hesperia AV is nice, EXCEPT for those two sharp turns, had to pretty much come to a complete stop on the way up the one time I took that route, with no trailer. Would have to stop traffic with a trailer I think

38 no doubt less traffic less curves

Depends on where you are coming from. Hwy 38 is a little longer (15-20 minutes for me) but I like it, less traffic and a third of the way up it doesn't have many curves. First third plenty of curves.

330 is closed to general traffic. They opened it for memorial weekend to help with traffic. Currently it only open for comuter traffic... Downward traffic only from 6-8am and upward from 4-6pm or something like that. They say it might open for good before 7/4/11... I was hoping it was open for this weekend but no such luck...

How about... MORE curves and MORE speed? Touge to fishing?

For those who dont know what touge is.... http://youtu.be/LmIFKhLRmxI

wouldnt it be awesome to drive fast cars into the mountain to fish, and then drive even faster back down? ofc... without the police...
