I recently purchased a PENN CONQUER 400 reel and a 7' GL2 mod fast action rod.:Big Grin:

I was thinking of purchasing a Calcutta (CT400B) or Calcutta TE (CTE200GT), but I was also introduced to the Daiwa Luna (TD Luna 203) reel. So needless to say that I am lost and wanted to hear some advice before any further purchase.:EyePop:
Thanks, Raul

those reels are overkill IMO, a curado 200 would be plenty and could do all types of fishing from the surf, also lighter and eaiser to cast then calcuttas.

I agree. Curado 200's are a little beast for lighter fishing. I have a Curado 200E7 and it works for freshwater bass, saltwater bass, fishing inshore, and also on overnight trips for YT/schoolie tuna.

bass gear is ideal for fishing the surf.
