May Long Weekend Kayak Fishing Report Rockfish and Lingcod

Went out for the Long weekend to the coast and did some rockfishing. Did pretty well and caught a bunch of black and yellows, browns, gophers, a blue, a cabezon and 4 lingcod, two which were legal. Did pretty well on a white scampi jig and squid. Fun times as always.

Nice job, where did you launch and land because that surf looks impassable. I surflaunch malibu often but never in anything like that.

Oh no that was from the day I couldn't go out, the wind was really blowing. It was a bit flatter but not much when I went out, got slammed the first time going out and rode a couple of good waves coming in. The wave flipped my kayak right over end for end and I kind of flipped over with it. Fun times!
