My friend had the day off and she wanted to go fishing, We decided to hit up good ol BC inlet to do a little fishing. Mission for her was to pretty much catch anything and me well i wanted a halibut. I started throwing the LC for a good minute but came up empty. She was doing the whole bait and wait game with ghost shrimp as bait.
Her first hook up. Skunk off.

Next came a few perches, all caught and released.

Then she hooks up this

By this time, I still had the skunk. I decided to change it up and pryed off a mussel from the rocks. 5 minutes later. Spotfin. :Smile:

Is that a Bat Ray or Round Ray ?
Those round rays are deady with the stinger at the end of the tail in the 2 skin flaps vs
a Bat Rat with the stinger near the body, tell her to be carefull.

These Rays are like Scorpions, they will get you.
I had a 1/8" piece of stinger in my finger after 2 months of pain. Showed up on a Xray.

That kid in that video handled that ray pretty carelessly and got stung. Looks pretty painful!
