looking to hit up the wood this weekend. just wondering if anyones been trying for stripers there and if i have any chance at geting any shore fishing there. any tips would be great. thanks

went thursday afternoon to evening, soaked some achovies near the spillway and dam but nothing hit the bait. it was weird, the day was beautiful but quiet on the fishing.

That story is all to familiar for me. I'm trying to avoid that thinking I throw lures early and bait n wait after a couple hours. Anyone have suggestions where to fish there.
It's spotty at best. Weather hasn't cooperated to turn on the striper bite as of yet. But you never know there has been success lately just real sporadic.
Sorry wish I had better advise, I'd like to get my striper on myself. Without a boat makes it a little difficult right now.
