Perris late afternoon 5/30

Decided to fish perris figured it would be packed loaded up headEd out

fished for panfish caught around 15 more bg then redears

5 of then being around 10 inchs

Used crickets mealworms didn't really get to many hits
crickets of course the ticket fished on a jig and bobber

Tons of bait fish jumping all over and the birds just treating it like a buffet.
Once the sun started to set it was a fish or a missed bite every cast

Nice job on the panfish. I was there yesterday also, and saw a couple of pontoon boats in the sailboat cove area.What area were you fishing? I know that the gate to the water on Bernasconi is not opened during the week, making it a long trek to the water on that side of the lake.

There was a time it was closed during the week in the off season but that was a few years ago. Its currently open during normal park hours but I've never stayed there after dark to see if they actually keep it open till 10pm.There are no lights there whatsoever.

I was fishing lot 11-12 on the tube

Alot of people fishing the shore as usual

Great job on the panfish. I am going to try and get out there next week. need to give crickets a try.
