Looking for some ocean gear and I picked one up. They are pretty sweet looking and I hope they work for me next week. Anyone have any success with them?

I have one but havent had a chance to use it yet. its a sub surface lure so only like 10ft deep or less is where its supposed to run at.

I have two of them.....,and even the Curado 300ej/Terez waxwing rod to throw 'em with, but so far I've just threw the white one to see the action (which is incredible).I was real tempted to use 'em on the 'cudas but was afraid of what those teeth would do to it.Look forward to using them at Cat.this summer & other kelp/surface areas.

They work pretty good, but are expensive as hell. $$$

Yeah I bought 2 at $20.00 a pop......we will see. I'm going to try and find some time this Friday on my Catalina trip to throw them out. I'll let ya know how they work for me.

Great until the wings break.. I'd like to see a soft swimbait with this concept used.

They're supposed to work really good on 80lb braid. Straight tie, no mono or flouro top shot.

I've heard mono kills the action on it

I use them all the time with 65 straight braid. Works well along the kelp line in Catalina, very few hang ups. Calicos love them as well as the Bonitos. Just cast and reel in slowly. I use a Curado 300EJ for them. The color that produces for me is the fluorescent yellow one. Good Luck and hope this helps.

50lb. red power pro tied direct
30lb at the lightest
No fluorocarbon or mono top shot
Use a reel capable of 32-36" per crank
...that's what I've heard the experts say

@reaktion4: What's your setup with the Curado - rod, line, lb test, weight of waxwing?
