Today was day one of the Memorial Day tournament and anglers in the know where able to cash in on the deepwater trout bite. Guys trolling deep and fishing a trout worm or jig in deeper water where able to manage some pretty impressive limits to say the very least.
Tim Blackshire or shall I say Mr Champion put another notch in his belt today with a 6.1 Rainbow Trout taken on a trout worm in woodys cove. That fish was part of a 27lb limit.

David Shrank of Ontario fished with the Champ and managed an equally impressive 6.1 Rainbow Trout also taken on a trout worm.
Coming in 3rd place was lake regular Marty Sauceda of Costa Mesa 3.14

Still one more day to make some cash in the final trout tournament of the year.
