Skunk Therapy

On Wednesday 5/25 a couple buddies and myself drove down to San Diego for
a shot at some Yellowtail. We made it to the parking lot of Seaforth Sport Fishing
just after 4:00 am - and the parking lot was alive and well with fishermen.

The crowd was not your average group of weekday anglers , lots of hardcore
fishermen showing up for an opportunity at some Yellowtail. With 62 anglers
on the boat(Newseaforth)we knew it was gonna be tough , but hey at least
were here and we have a shot.

Only 8 YT caught and just as many lost , mostly on the fly lined sardines.
Did see one hooked on the dropper loop early, but dude lost it. Lots of boils
around the boat , but not allot of hook-ups !

As for the 3 of us no YT , although my buddies did do some bottom fishing and picked
up a few sculpin .

OK , now i need some Skunk Therapy. So today 5/26 i head down to the Bass hoe
for something or anything.

Get to the spot around 9 am & start fan casting the area, when this dude hits my swimbait just 5 to 8 feet out .

BAM , thats for me waking up at 2am the day before.

Sorry to hear about the skunk on the yt but you somewhat made up for it with 3 bass in 3 hours. Good sense of humor about it all too! G/j on the bass NFS!

damn homie...sorry about the SD skunk...thats WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too many people on a boat....

now..GREAT job at your bass HOE lol....yeah....i went today...hooked one....didnt actually take me "into" rocks..just ran and thumped, and my line ran across what felt like a rock loaded with barnacles....pow! lol

Im bring my AVET 2 speed and 40 lb next trip to that spot!!

I think you fish a different part of that area than I. I'm trying what I THINK your area is this time.
