After six months of no management, Redondo Sportfishing is reopening Thursday, May 26 with new management by Larry Derr. Larry has some great plans for the landing and his boat In-Seine is our bait provider. Come back fishing out of Redondo Sportfishing!

Call Larry and his staff at (310) 372-2111 for information and reservations!

Great News.

Now we need details.
What are the hour of the pier going to be open ?
Is he selling live bait on the pier ?
What hours is the bait barge going to be open ?

I like how you can go back for older fish counts.

Will the website get updated ?
No pics on the Pics page ?
No info on the Tradition on the Boats page ?

I am not sure on all of this...
I am guessing the pier will open up at 5am and stay open perhaps to 7pm.
Last I checked the old bait tank on the pier had been removed and I'm not sure if he will be putting a new one in.
I'm not sure about the hours of the bait barge, though.

I think it's best to give them some time on the website, we're just glad it's open and they will get to work on a website, but the new management, period, is the most important right now.

Forgive me if I'm wrong because I was tired yesterday morning, but...I think Larry has Lucky Crafts for sale in the office, and a wide selection of them. For you surf fishermen who want to fish the surf in the South Bay and you need to buy a Lucky Craft, Redondo Sportfishing has them for sale!

There is a bait barge right now with three receivers but Larry plans on either expanding it or making a couple more bait barges to service the PBers and Sportboats in Redondo.

Ah so it's not what I was thinking of like the one that people used to fish off of.

I'll drop by and see how much the LCs are tomorrow since I'm running a bit low. Hopefully he's not charging $20+ a bait...

No, Fishing Barges are history.

in the Press Telegram it says Larry put a new bait tank on the pier. WTG Larry.

Dropped by and checked it out. Plus side, very nice new office! Major downside, LCs are $20 a pop, ouch. Add tax on that and you're looking at close to $22 a LC. Definitely not worth it since you can get 3 online shipped to your door for less via ilovehardbait, and retail stores like Performance Tackle sell them at $16-$18 each...

Unless you're desperate and need one NOW I wouldn't drop by there.

Stopped by and met Larry and saw the LC's.
The 110 LC are $19 + tax
Still a rip. I did buy RB Sportfishing hat for $12.
