Sorry for the late reporting,
Fish a half day up at Pyramid Saturday, http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr349/sddave50/84af94f0.jpg Pyramid has been the most consistent place for a all around fun fishing.
I took Rocky, who from Ventura, told him the lake was our best shot for Bass and striper's.
Met up at Gallions, picked up some nice fresh dine's snacks and headed up the hill, It was shaping up to be a nice day.
While in line I went over the days plan, There were a lot of bass boats that had already made it on the water, sure enough there was a tourney going on. though crowds were down, there was still alot of lake lice back in Yellow bar.
Started the morning slowing reaction type stick baits, first fish was a trout, I believe so was second.but third was the right kind,http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr349/sddave50/8da7832c.jpg
we started popping the largemouth, then Rocky hooks up with a nicer grade fish, he said at first he thought it was the weed but weed doesn't pull back, nice fish, I know those tourney guys would love to have a bag of these. http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr349/sddave50/b9a378a8.jpgPopped around the lake doing some of the same, tried a shot at the worm bite, but no takers, this was a half dayer so I wanted to get on the striper's so we headed over to the island worked the sonar and decided on a spot, threw both anchors out and got some of the fresh bait in the water, the back of the boat got the first fish, Rocky was in the backseat, client catching fish, thats the way it's suppose to be..
the fish were picking up in size http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr349/sddave50/ac268577.jpghttp://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr349/sddave50/4f45c507.jpghttp://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr349/sddave50/cdd33b59.jpg so we worked the striper over and left them biting for next time, released all but these 4 which I took home, was a great day fishing with Rocky and we have more trips scheduled for the future.
