Went for a short fish in Alamitos bay this morning (from shore) to hit the secret SB bed tryin for a leagal size as 10 to 1 are shorties at the spot. threw everything i had, no bass only some croaker n rays.
Switched over to a castmaster just to try it out first cast got a tug but no fish. A few more casts with nothin until bam drag starts pullin before the rod fully bends, after a 15 min or so fight a 34inch lepard great color and sharp teeth (she bit my shoe on the release. good thing i was wearin shoes lol) ended the day with a couple bsp on the crack. Home after about 4hrs. sorry no pics forgot the camera
