The east end was shut down for the Solar Derby so I went right to the dam. 4 casts and a hit! The stripers were crashing the surface again and this time they were taking a few topwaters. They went down after an hour or so which is great for the bait guys. I left at 10:30 with one pretty nice one and a few of the smaller schoolies. I'll be back in Sunday with more time to spend.

Well, out there again today Sunday the 15th. Wind came up and the fish went DOWN along with the temps. Didn't see one boil except a carp busted the surface next to the boat. I left by 9:30 cuz I wasn't having any fun. Had some rain on the way home so I'm glad I left when I did. Anyway it's been a good indication of what's to come real soon.
