Another great day on the water out of Pierpoint in LBC aboard the Southern Cal. Colin skipper, Big Ed in the Galley and I think it was Ryan on the deck. Conditions were perfect, only 10-15 people on board, nice and roomy. Met up on coincednce with a fellow Team 57 "DavidE" great guy, he was fishing with his 2 nephews "it was their 1st time out on the water" they were having a ball. It was great to see young kids learning.
Team 57 was being represented :D

We headed out to the bait boat in Pedro and while we were there we had a little fun with the mackerel. They were everywhere "WFO" hahahaha. Got some small size chovies, ARGH !!! but oh well .... We headed out to the shoe to try our luck with some cudaz, but cudaz were absent, so Colin decided to head to the flats .... It wasn't "WFO" but the bite was constant. I managed to pull up 6 nice size Sand Bass, Mackerel "WFO", damn fish...had to drop fast or they were taking your bait. I prolly farmed about 5 fish....I hooked up twice with something huge, I fought that SOB for a good 10 minutes, Everytime I reeled in, it just took me deeper. Ryan said I was caught on the bottom but if that was so, how was the bottow pulling my line and fighting me, after about 10-15 minutes of fight, snap.....lost everything. DAMNIT !!!!!!!!

JP went to a little girl who caught an enourmous sheep head, oh well.

All in all it was a great time. brought home some dinner for my inlaws and great times.

DavidE .... awesome fishing with you bud, Hopefully I can make it to the Vine tourny and hang out some more.....

Between me and my two nephews we totaled 10+ Macs, 3-4 Calico (only 1 legal) And 3 Sand Bass (all legal).

I asked them and they said they cant wait to get out there again. Even the one who didn't want to touch the bait or the fish!!!! LOL

believe it or not, I don't eat fish .... I fish for the love and the sport, I don't eat it.....

All my catches go to my in-laws or my dad .... So yea, the macs went to my in-laws :D
