Looking for a decent bass rod

looking for a decent bass rod, I'd like this rod to be used only for plastics. Looking to spend around $50. So far I've heard that Turner's California rod's are pretty good. What action and length do you guys prefer?

7" and as stiff as you can find. All the California rods I've handled seemed more like Kencors , with their parabolic action.

If you go with anything that isn't stiff, it won't be a practical worming rod.

I'd pay 20 bucks more and go with a Clarus, personally.

^ thx, I'll def. take a look at the rod, the $50 was just a ballpark figure, I don't mind going up a bit
