Jumped on the Sunday overnight trip with a guy from work and 15 others. Nice light load. Once on the boat the captain says we are going 65 miles out in search for albies and if we strike out we'll go to the island. We never went to the island. Think the total count for our boat was 27-33 albacore. Once we got bit on the troll we would have a 5-10 min flurry before we went driving again. Wasn't quiet ready for albacore (had 15, 17 and 20 lb test) and went 1 for 3 while my friend when not throwing up caught 1 on the troll. It was a long ride home as we got back to dock @ 930. Deckhands were AJ, Steve and i forgot the cook's name but they were top notch. Some of the best I've fished on. Here's some pics. Im the 1 with the blk shirt who is NOT throwing up!!!

xahx, I forgot what the area was called but it was 15 miles past SCI. The pic didnt come out too good but there were at least 15 boats out there. Most were from S.D., think it was an 8 hr ride for them

Nice Catch!

Do you know if you guys stayed in US waters? or did you end up going into Mexico?

When you say "island" I take it you mean San Clemente island right?

Great way to chum too :)

San Clemente Island and we stayed in U.S. waters. I told my friend to take something but he said the pill is for girls and he's a man. By the end of the trip everyone on the boat knew his name and snickered when they walked by him.
