Newport: before work battle

Was on the sand right at sunrise.
Tied on a pumpkin seed 3" grub.
10 casts or so and I'm on!

Measured about 35" ! He knocked the tape measure out of the way 2 times and I was fumbling around like an idiot.
The picture isn't accurate. After I put my phone away I measured him out real fast.
What a fight this guy was on 6lb test! ZzzZZZzzZZZZ! Also caught 6 perch who were into the crack and doing drive by hooksets.
Now to work I go!
