2lb LMB at Kenneth Han Park

Hit up KHP today and caught this litle guy
Ok not a 2 pounder just a baby , but it will be someday if pepole would practice c/r when it came to Bass. This post is for the the gentleman I made to throw his bass back before it died in his bucket.

Good looking out skylarjames! That bass shouldn't of even made it into that guy's bucket, it's not even of legal size to keep. At least you were able to save the fish and it will live and grow for another day.

Is that the bass u made the guy release? Or did u make the guy release a legal sized bass? Please add a few more details. :)

I'm totally a 100% C&R bass fisherman, but u can't make someone release a fish if its legal.

It is unlawful to take or possess black bass except as provided below:

(Note: Some waters are closed to all fishing under Section 7.50.)

(a) General Statewide Restrictions:
(1) Lakes/Reservoirs and the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta: The following waters, except for those listed in subsection (b) Special Regulations (below), are open to fishing all year, with a 12-inch minimum size limit and five-fish daily bag limit: All lakes and reservoirs in the State, and the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, (see Section 1.71 for definition of the Delta).
(2) Rivers/Streams and Private Ponds: Rivers, streams, canals, and lakes or ponds entirely on private lands, which are not listed in subsection (b) Special Regulations (below), are open all year with no size limit and a five-fish daily bag limit.
(b)Special Regulations: Counties and individual waters listed below are those having regulations different from the General Statewide Restrictions in subsection (a) (above).

DR, I think u are missing the question. The OP never answered my question if he took away a legal sized bass from the bucket fisherman.

Either way, its illegal to just take away a fish, legal sized or not. Why not take a photo of the illegal bass with the fisherman and then call the DFG??

I few years ago I called the DFG and also took pics of what was going on. The DFG came out too late, but they gave me their email address to email the photos. The illegal fisherman was cited later when he tried it again.

Hit up Kenny Hahn today. The lake looks like it would support Bass very nicely, even with the bluestoning treatments. These ponds never recovered from being drained a couple of years back, not to mention not being able to sustain a catch n keep fishery practiced by 99% of the locals ... 15-20 years ago, there was 5-8 pound Bass all over those ponds, even the one at the very, very top...
