Inspired by the success on Fri @ the LAB and ignoring the cold and drizzling weather reports decided to troll some Rapalas in Ray Bay Seal Beach por nada. After my second lap with no bites or hits had to come up with a new strategy. Headed out roughly 1.5 miles and was not disapointed. First run produced a 14" checkboard which was foul hooked in the gut. Next run produced a 16" grump and my final run produced a whooping 4lb / 20"+ grump. Another great day and great wheather everyone must have been celebrating mothers dayor scared off by the weather reports. Fished 7-12.

Sand bass I don't care too much for except the larger models and Calicos.

A 12" calico takes 7 years to grow.
