5/7/2011 legg lake

well hit up legg lake on Saturday with smokenflys to flick some fly's at the blue gills. plan was to meet up at 5 well i was running a bit late and sent a text to smokenflys saying im almost there and replied the bite is hot.

as i walk up to our agreed meeting spot i get to watch im bring in a nice lil blue gill and then while im rigging up he lands another. the spot dies and we move a short bit down the shore line and i hook up on two the first one was hard fighting lil bugger and of a respectable size epically for legg lake. then a few cast later i hook up on my second fish and it is of a smaller class but this was a very handsome guy. only stayed for bout an hour and decided to pack it in at about 6:30 cuz the wind had picked up and was making casting very difficult

this is the first one it is about two inches longer then the second one

Very nice Tfool, I fish there a lot too but mostly for bass...May have to bring the fly rod out and try for the BG someday.
Love the colors on that second fish. I did caught a decent size BG while dropshotting for bass last year.
those suckers are feisty.

yea the first one actualy pulled some drag. when i first felt it and heard the drag sing a lil i was wondering if i had got into a dink bass.

yea man the second one was really nice looking the picture don't do him justice
