DON'T EVER FORGET THE "CRACK!" Slooooow Day at the Spot 5 7 2011

Hey guys,

Ill make this a quick one…..gotta get ready, I am taking my wife, daughters, and mother in law out for Mothers Day dinner…..

First off, NEVER, under ANY circumstances, leave home without some crack! Lol….

Arrived at the beach a little bit before G$ and his son. I didn’t have a chance to stop and get some crack, so I figured the GULP! sand fleas would work (not today they didn’t). Once I arrived at the beach, I decided to try a GULP! product that I have been wanting to try for awhile, so I set my rod up in the usual style, and cast out.

Got bumped once, then made another cast a little farther out, right behind 2nd wave break. The surf was big today. Anyways, threw my reel in gear, tip up…THUMP! THUMP! BAMMM!!!! I set the hook, and fish was on! It pulled very well, and I could tell it had a little weight to it. The fish never gave up, even in inches of water as I was trying to beach it. Once I saw what it was, I was pretty happy.

Photo, and released safely back into the ocean! Not a bad first fish, so I had high hopes today.

Made a couple more casts, got my first of only a few BSP today.

G$ and his son arrived a few minutes later, and once all rigged up, I asked him if he brought the crack. He told me he did, in fact, buy some, but he left it at home on accident! GRR!!! So I looked in my bag, and had two rocks left…that’s it, along with a bunch of packs of other GULP! products, but I was bummed we didn’t have more crack.
We ended up fishing the crabs, and I let G’s son use the last couple sand worms, so that he would have a better shot at some fish.

It was SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW today! Now, I am 100% sure, that the sand worms DO make a difference!!! Eventually, G$ and his son got their first fish, and by the end of the morning, had about 6-7 a piece each. Im glad they got some fish, but once again, I will NEVER EVER not have the sand worms.

VERY tough fishing today, wish we had the sandworms, but all in all, another great day to be on the beach catching a few fish, and seeing G$ and Wiley. It was great seeing you again G! Next trip, we WILL slay, cuz BOTH of us will have the sand worms!! Lol

awwwwwww man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol....all good....ive learned now to always have 2 packs on me!! lol....to be honest...I wouldnt really care if i was alone and had to slow slow pick with the other GULP! i had...but I had guests today..and one was a kid..and I REALLLLLLYYY wanted them to slay like ive been slaying... :( thanks man

Dont you think if i could find larger sand crabs, I would use them??? lol...all the crabs that I have found in this area are tiny....id love to fish larger crabs if i could find them
