Had a trip Scheduled for over a month with Todd and Rod, his father, Rod flew in from Minnesota for his chance at catching his first Striped Bass, These guys are die hard Walleye and Muskie fisherman from Minnesota.
So it was pretty easy to tell Todd, Lets run up the hill, got some good info from a un-named old fishing friend ?
We started are day at Gallions, Steve personally made the sandwiches, Yummy...
Picked a bag or the Fresh stuff and headed up the hill.
Started out in the channel throwing cranks and after a few minutes I believe Rod got first blood with a nice trout.
From there it was a nice pic on Smallmouth Largemouth and trout, we got a couple more trout that spit the bait and loads of bass, we found the right speed for the baits and would get a few in each spot as we worked down the banks.

Went around the corner to give the guys a shot at fishing Plastics, spiltshot and dropshot, they didn't get any bites, first timers, just me, so enough of me fishing, lets go get some blood flowing....
We didn't have to go to far, Todd hooked up on the crankbait for a striper, Rod and I looked at the sonar and saw what we needed to see, got the double anchor setup, bolted it down and it was long before the blood was flowing, the cat special, my Champion, was covered in striper blood and striper poop, and sardine juice !
Rods first Striper, Cut the heart out and made him eat it... lol... not really..

Todd was on fire in the front, me in the middle, Rod in the back, the bent pole action went on for the next four hours.
Stories were shared from back in the day... GOOD TIMES...
I got to go try Lake of the Woods, Milaxs, I mean theres only ten thousand of them to fish right...
Talked to Bass guy I know, good stick this guy, there's a tourney there Saturday, we could have made a easy limit with the bass we got in the morning, but these guys know how to fish the game..
We caught a easy 50 striper's, kept out limit, ran out of bait and called it a day around 4:00, I gave them a short tour of Yellow Bar arm and then headed in to clean the fish...

Very good day, weather was great, lite boat traffic all day long, ended with tons of fish, striper, largemouth, smallmouth, and even a kitty fish.
Again Pyramid was good to us, the bait bite in RED HOT right now...
