checking the counts today i noticed Avila beach pm half day boat had 12 bonita. Thats a little more north than i expected them to be. Lots of rockfish and crabs.:Surprised:

Bonito venture quite far north, so do cudas. At times people catch both around British Columbia, during the warmest parts of the year.

I know they venture North. It only seemed to happen during warm water years. This is not a warm water year nor is it in the warmest part of year. Thats why it seemed odd to me. I have caught bonita and cuda in SF bay during a big el nino. I lived in San Jose many years.
