It was still and warm this morning and as I was cruising the south shore I swore I heard Bullfrogs. So I broke out my frog imitation . 2 casts Wham! Right in the tules. No repeats for a while so went to the ususal dropshot and weightless worms. LMB were pretty busy just chasing stuff away from the nests but every now and then they would be suckered. 2 fish around 4 lbs. and a bunch of smaller males.
I was told later that that ooomph! sound I was hearing was actually some kind of bird!!! Good thing I didn't know I would have missed a nice topwater explosion!
