lake gregory 5/3/11

me and my brother headed out to lake gregory for the first time. got there around 6:30am. there wuz only one guy there. he had not caught anything since we had got there but got a few hits. we didnt catch anything for the first hour and then it jus went wide open. first ones we caught were real small so we threw um back. then we got into sum decent size ones 12in.and up. we kept catchin and releasing alot of small ones. then around 10 or 11am my bro hooked into sumthing big. the reel screamed for a good while. he wuz fishing straight 2lb. test so he brought it in slow and steady. finally got it to the edge and it wuz a 3lb. hog. we kept catching decent size fish and only keeping the ones that started to bleed. the bite wuz on and off the rest of the day. then around 1pm my bobber jus flew of my line and my rod bent. ran up and set the hook. fish wuz pullin drag and i couldnt turn its head fought it for a couple minutes and finally got it in. another solid 3lber. we caught and release a few more fish and then around 3pm my bobber flew off my line again and the rod bent. i set the hook and noticed it wuz hard to turn its head. i said to my self its another nice hog. sure enough it wuz another 3lber. the bite died down so we decided to call it a day at 4pm. caught around 20 fish but brought home only 7. 3 3lbers and 4 1lbers. most of the people caught fish but for sum reason we caught the most hogs. lol. just got lucky i guess.

ya. they were really biting today. its good rite now cuz they just stocked fish in it. ill b make a couple more trips up there. lol

ya i guess so. they were pretty big. wusnt expecting to catch that big in that lake. lol

haha ya. we had a fun day. met new people. every1 is friendly there. and denali5 is a cool guy. hope we can plan a fishing trip soon b4 u move.

they were hiting all kinds of colors. rainbow worked good. we didnt try any lures cuz we were geting good action on the bait. and then around 9 or 10 it started getting windy
