i was wondering because in the dfg handbook section 29.80 gear restrictions section.....it says "(d) Crab loop traps may have up to six loops"
http://www.dfg.ca.gov/marine/pdfs/oceanfish2011.pdf
so i was wondering if that is the same thing as a loop trap since it has 6 loops in it

^ this guy's got it. We used to use these for crabs w/ some pole and line. It doesnt work as well as youd like, and the standard crab net is way better. we pretty much converted the bait boxes into bait holders for the crab ring/net by using some zip ties.
