Hello everyone, I was hoping to wake up early and hit a O.G. GC spot, but I slept in too long. Finally met up with my brother Makersmark and decided to get a little risky. Being that it was Easter I was hoping security at a membership res. was off for the day. During the short hike I found a real egg on Easter. It wasn't on a nest but just sitting in the middle of the trail.

finally found a clearing and got to work. Conditions were almost perfect with a little overcast and drizzel. Started off with d/s fluke and a spro topwater frog on the other rod. Fished for a hour and nothing, we decided to hike along the water line till we found a clearing. Still nothing in the open water so Markersmark believed they were tight to structure. He flylined a robo oxblood redflake with vein right into a submerged bush and BAM fish on, nice 2 lbr, then I wanted to see if I could lure one out doing a similar method. Cast'd my worm on top of a bush, then pulled it out on to the top of the moss bed and through a small opening as it sank beneath the bottom TAP TAP, set the hook and it was on, landed this nice healthy guy, which he put on a show after the release with a few F U jumps and off he went.

Great Easter hanging out my bro doing what we love to do. Had to bail early to make brunch, no run-ins with anyone. No harm no foul.
