Lots of quality fish and tons of limits are still the norm up here at the lake as we head into the last week of April. Trollers and bait guys continue to hammer the fish in locations such as the West Shore, Dam area, woodys cove and boat dock cove. Guys fishing from the shore have had success casting up close to shore during the am hours and casting out further as the day progresses with the New Mice Tails from Berkley and Garlic Chrt Powerbait being the hot baits. Trollers are finding their quarry keyed in on the shad so keep an eye out on the surface for the bait fish or watch your sonar to get on the fish.
Leading the way today with a beautiful 10.0 Rainbow Trout was non-other than Mike Traut (prononuced Trout) of Costa Mesa. Mike's trophy bow bit a River 2 Sea V joint minnow while trolling mid lake.

Not only did Mike have one trophy but he had four more quality fish to go with it.

Paul Minter of Riverside allmost cracked the 10lb mark with this 9.8 Rainbow Trout that took a trolled Rapala along the West Shore.

Fishing is still very good for Trout, Bass, Crappie and Catfish. Come out the the lake and experince Spring time Fishing at its finest. I will put out a post on the budding Catfish bite tommrow. Hope to see all you guys and gals up at the lake really soon
