So... annual spring break fishing at my local Lake Lopez...
In my float tube for the 2nd year and the lake was up about 25 feet... from 70% to 93% capacity...
DAY 1
Fished by the entrance where the bridge is... couldn't go under the bridge because they closed it due to spawning...
I was out for abut 5 hours and ended up with about 10 or so... 1st one was a nice 4 pounder or so... the rest were in the 1.5 - 2 pound range except for 3 little ones

They were caught on a chartreuse spinner bait, a crawdad Rapala and a silver Rapala (Silver Rapala was most popular among the fish)
DAY 2
Launched off at Mallard Cove Boat ramp and fished the cove there and then went around the corner towards the back of the lake and even got rained on a little. Was out for about 4 hours and ended the day with about 20 or so... The biggest LMB was about 3.5 pounds (15 - 16 inches) the smallest was about 8 inches. Also caught one SMB that was about 17 inches and 3.5 pounds.
They were caught on a white spinnerbait, Chartreuse spinnerbait, and silver Rapala (Again the favorite). I even caught 2 on the troll as I kicked from one side of Mallard cove to the other... One on the white spinnerbait and the other on the Rapala... the SMB was caught on the Rapala.
All fish except for SMB were caught close to shore int eh reeds at around 5 - 7 feet deep... the SMB was caught in about 25 feet of water... I just let the Rapala countdown to the bottom and then slowly retreived it.
