Was thinking about doing some trolling out there this Sunday. What's the water like ? Has it cleared up yet? The last two Derby's have had some meek conditions. 65 degree H2o and 0 visability that usually means not much on the troll, saw some peep's getting bit on shore. Any of you FNN ers that fish from shore, How's the shore BITE? Thanks and Tight Lines..........

Bite was slow today (Thursday 4/21) from shore and boats all around the lake, fished Woody's Cove area. In the afternoon we finally located the fish. They were about 30 feet offshore and needed to increase leader to about 3 feet. Then it was on! Hot action in the afternoon. Nice fish, many 3 and 4 pound fish being caught. Didn't measure water temp today, last Monday it was 59. Crawlers weren't doing anything. Hit yellow power eggs in morning, and Garlic and Salmon Peach powerbait in the afternoon. One guy was doing great with Powerworm mouse set up. Didn't do anything for me though. I couldn't retie fast enough to get back into the action after catching a fish. One after another. Last 2 outings to Irvine have really picked up for me. (It's about time!)

vINELINE,
Let's hope your 52 is a typo. When I was there last week it was 62 degrees and up, right??

I asked our dock Mgr. Santiago and he said appx. 52.
I will have him check again when we get a chance.

I metered 66 degrees in the morning and up to 68. Saturday 4/22/11.
Seemed like the trout went deep for the ones that had acclimated to the lake and the new stock were shallow.
