Ive heard goldfish getting that size isnt completely unheard of if you give them a big enough body of water to grow. so dont expect to see that in your tank ladies and gentlemen.

I see way too many of those giant gold carp at Lake Isabella when they rush the shores and spawn. You can stand in 2' of water and watch them do the dance right there in the rocks. Most of them are 18-24" and I'll bet some old ones pushing 30". No point in fishing for cats from shore when this is going on. They bump your lines and ring your bells all night for no joy. I have the T-shirts.
Coworker of mine from Sportmart in Glendale caught a 5lber at echo park years ago.
