I recently discovered a wildlife reserve that is completely open with 24 hour access. I went there during the day and saw some monster carp swimming at the shore. Went back to grab my gear but as I was heading back through another entrance I saw a "No Fishing" sign posted. While I was there I did notice 2 other anglers risking the ticket. I doubt I'm going to risk it but would you pull a ninja and fish it?

I agree to all the above. But I have to add, if it ends with my tackle confiscated or handcuffs, I wouldn't do it. I am still waiting for a sensei ninja to do Norconian Lake or the Loma Linda VA Hospital; both are federal properties. Norconian looks beautiful: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/80/Lake_norconian_pavilion_hotel.jpg

I have fished a few similar spots and have been escorted off, just play dumb if you can about the no fishing sign, are there other entrances? I have been escorted out of regional parks that have ponds that are not suppose to be fished and are gated. I think they dont want to waste all the time and paper work for a fisherman who was not casuing any trouble.

GhettoBasster--- Norconian isnt that great, i have a friend who fishes it because he is law enforcement and just a bunch of dink bass. I keep hearing about that VA hospital though. Interesting.

I was going to fish it till I saw the no fishing sign but I don't plan to. Was just wondering if there were any hardcore ninjas that would.

well from what i understand the act of NINJA fishing is the act of braking the law or rules in some way to fish a place they are not aloud or at a time they are not aloud so im sure plenty of ninjas would ninja the spot if there where fish they wish to target in the water.

would not risk it for carp, like tb said mondo striper maybe. catfish maybe, trout or carp no. But to be honest only illegal fishing ive risked is out of the aqueduct, fished it at night and on some spots i think were illegal. Never took the risk at a pond because ive had buddies do it and they get caught and arent treated to nicely. Really ill only just catch over my limit of fish like catfish or stripers a fish no one will really notice if its gone, thats as illegal as ill take my fishing, and ive done it many a time before when the catfish bite or striper bite is exceptional. other wise ima law abiding citizen.

Its funny you bring lake Norconian up. I grew up in the bluffs in Norco (less than a half mile from the lake on the other side of the baseball fields). When I was 14 (30 years ago) my friends sister worked at the naval base/prison there, and got us in one day to fish the lake. They had row boats all set up. We tried fishing for cats, bass, and crappie/bluegill. Didnt catch a thing, but did see evidence that someone had been fishing there. The lake didnt look like it had a food base for fish to thrive there. It wasnt very deep.

I fished VA hospital before, the inside opposite Barton road. Got a channel cat on a 3/8 spinner bait

Thanks for that info. I now replace Norconia with Lake Matthews.

Carp grow fast and spawn prolifically.. You can find them in just about any body of water that has been full for at LEAST a year. The fry can pass through barriers that adults can't.

There's a storm drain less than a half-mile from me loaded with them.

There was a golf-course next to sunkist and taft loaded with gigantic carp. They actually allow you to fish there, as long as you clean your mess. Last time I was there, they were draining it.. Saw so many massive carp and bass there.. Douchebags kept trying to hit us with golfballs.

Did catch a couple of smaller bass though, and a few big carp. Shoreline was some sort of parchment, loaded with snagged fat Ikas, and Senkos. Might be dry by now. Only for the most hardcore of ninjas.. Very dangerous.

If the golf-balls dont kill you, the rattlesnakes will.
