The fish’n at DVL has been outstanding lately!! I went out Friday, and back at it on Sunday. Even with all the tournament traffic, the bite was great. We caught 15+ fish on Friday and another baker's dozen, or so on Sunday. On Friday, in the early afternoon, I lost a good size LMB sitting in a quite cove, at least 5 lb plus. It spit the hook at me with a good 10 feet of distance on it! So on Sunday, I went back to same spot in the early afternoon and pierced her lip again. This time I landed her, at least I think it was a her?

Also, I would like to thank the great staff at Last Change Bait and Tackle in Hemet for their great service and awesome fish’n tips……..

Overall, great weekend of fish’n at DVL!

Nothing he said was unbelievable. Most guys I fish with don't photo every fish they catch.

Thanks for the Report Greg. I'm looking forward to heading that way soon. Some friends of mine have been having similar results. 10-30 fish days. Mostly 1.2 -2.5 fish though. with a couple 3-7.

Thanks Rick,
You are absolutly right, the fish are smaller on average, but they are very active, with some nice size LMB in mix. It is an exciting time at DVL right now! Thanks for have'n my back on this one.........

Ur probably getting mostly males... hence the smaller fish pattern

......watch ur barometer and water temps...the females should be getting on the move anytime....providing U have some steady weather patterning...

Congrats on the catches : )

P.S.
I think it's just that everyone wants to see some fish porn and theres been some foolish posts in recent weeks....I'd have to say the gentleman probably really didn't mean to act so harshly.....it's from a little bad conditioning...

Anyways...nice job : )

Much respect Matt, I've been out there a bunch this last week and you always arrive and or leave a spot very quietly. You also don't crowd and give that space, I literally have had boats come so close to me recently that I could walk onto their front deck!!!!!! Thank you.....

Fishing edicat is a dying art. I've had guys creep by my and get practically half way across the lake before they accelerated and I've had others damn near knock me off the boat as they raced by. Anyways, good job out there, Greg. Even without the pics I beleive you...hheheheheheheheeh.

I hear you on the boat etiquette, some people just don’t care……. I use the term “Brother-in-Law” you! Sometimes, family just moves in and take over you’re remote control.

Anyway, will be back at DVL Sunday………….good fish’n HuskerRod! Also, I did post the picture on the previous post.
