Everyone on this message board is very knowledgeable when it comes to everything fishing, so I was just curious as to your guys opinion. My boat is a 1991 17'6" bayrunner walk-thru widebody with canopy, with a 40 hp johnson it was purchased in alaska and has a easy loader galvanized trailer. I'm having difficulty downloading pictures from my phone, its 72 inches wide any info would be appreciated.I look forward to swapping pics of fish and fishing tales, with all of you. http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/cameronelias/2011-04-16155716.jpgeventually i would like to raise the front deck about 8 inches and make a back deck as well. I also want to add 2 bait tankshttp://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/cameronelias/2011-04-18121845.jpghttp://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/cameronelias/2011-04-18121830.jpghttp://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/cameronelias/2011-04-16155731.jpg http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/cameronelias/2011-04-18121813.jpg

i really like the design on these boats. i grew up in alaska and this style was common for lakes may even be one of the first designs i rode in. why would you want to see what its worth it looks rebuildable. in todays market though you coulod probably buy somthing similiar to that running for around the 2-3 k mark , considerably less not ready to roll. I'm interested if your selling it i have a 4 stroke to go on it

i bought the boat in 2007and used it for the season. i parked it at my fathers construction yard under a tree, stupid me, thats why she looks so ragged. i just got my own place so i brought her home to get her ready for next year. in august my silverado truck will be paid off finally after 5 years! but until then i dont have the extra income to do what i want to her, so i wanted to see what everyone thought about her.

Well, she's a little worse for wear, but I'd give you $1500 for it. I'm not saying I am interested in buying it, just giving you a ballpark.

That boat is easy to sell..lots of potential.... clean it up and run the motor. I would guess that $2500 or more is easily possible..

Oh I definitely agree. If you clean it up and you get the motor in working order (read: put in time and $$$) it'd be a great boat and you could sell it for $2500+. I'm saying the way it is right now I'd give ya $1500.00 knowing that I'd have to put in time and $$$ to get a great boat out of it. I should point out that I too would trade you my 14" aluminum (that I love dearly) for that boat. My boat's ready to fish, but I enjoyed cleaning this one up and making it great and I'm sure I'd enjoy doing another one.

I bought her in 2007 from a guy in claremont, for $3600. It was my friends boss, who was holding it for collateral and had to sell it because he needed the money. He was firm on the offer and was yet to advertise it publicly. So after a test drive at the pudd, i purchased it.
I bought it because it has a wide body and it would protect me from the elments with the canopy and i liked the potential to modify it to my liking.
The reason i posted is because she only has a 40hp engine and the max is either 75hp or 90hp not quite sure. With the 40 hp she goes about 35mph. i would probably buy an etec and i know their not cheap. would it be worth it?
Also how far would any of you go in a boat like this in the ocean? I bought her because i ocean fish, freshwater fish, surf fish and fish the bays but my favorite is bass fishing, and yes i catch and release. its the only way to go , i wanna catch fish tommorow too.

i wouldn't mess around with adding or raising the deck just clean her up maybe a few new seats and a bimini top and your golden.
as is $1.5k -$2k
if you clean her up she has potential to sale for 3k-4k

she already has a top, im not quite sure if its a bimini though. It connects to the top of the window and extends about 4 ft back of the windshield. i wanted to add pedestal seats to free up some extra room on the boat.
