Blood Fest and a great weekend! 4-16-11

Woke up hung over slightly from friday night and really didnt want to get up.I had ask for company to roll with me so I was hoping she flakes out on me but I made the call and she answered and was reday to go.This is a women I work with at the lounge.She doesnt really get out,and has never fished.My last trip to the Vine was a lazy one do to me drinking and staying up late the night be4 in the parking lot.So I didnt catch fish,and my first skunk in a long time.I arrive at the lake late.It was about 7ish by the time I got a line wet.Went to the tackle shop for grub and a pontoon.All rented out!:Embarrassed: I didnt really want to deal with a small boat cuss I knew it was gonna get real hot.So we went down to set up shop in the flats.Just after seeing the view of the lake,I forgot that quick it was gonna be a hot day.So shore fishing in my though was gonna suck.I was on shore for 2 hours and seen 2 fish cought between about 20 fisherman.Time to pack it up,and go and get this rental! Loaded up the boat and noticed something special about this boat.... I think it says G9 ? LMAO!

HA we got a good laugh off of that and said yeah,we will take it! Off to the west shore
to go put in some work!

I was gonna troll but the sun was already beating us down.So I had 4 poles set up with 2 with 4lb test line,one with 8 for trolling,and 1 with 6 p-line for trolling.Arrived at Mitz Canyon and couldnt decide if I wanted to fish from boat or shore.Most of u know me,if it isnt a toon,I rather fish from shore...lol So now it was time to drop the anchors and unload off when my glasses hit the water.:ROFL: All I was thinking oh well these a lost.Nope....someone was looking for an excuse to get in the water after I had told her she couldnt get in.....

and she found them......NICE!!

Anyways.....this girl was so excited and happy she was kinda getting on my nerves:Angry:
Kept moving around,running into the lines,couldnt keep her arse atill.I finally raised my voice at her and told her to sit her arse down or learn how to fish! :Angry:
She didnt want to touch worms,touch powerbait,touch the fish etc.I told her this is fun,something new and pretty much pan game on her to stop beinga chiken sh1t!
A few cast out at about 40 feet out with green egg and Bite On Garlic...a double hook up !!

and it went WFO for like an hour!! Everything I dipped in Bite On garlic got hit!
Garlic pb,green,white,orange,jimmy colored pb,and all crawler! I tried to use my Chillax Krack(TM) but they just didnt want it.

After that,the bite slowed down pretty bad...lol So we started messing with the ducks.

So after that we just kept drinking and partying on the lake.Driving around getting nice sun tans.Afterwards,tim eto go and check out the Kidde Pole event where I ran into lots of pretty nice people who at fish killing machines!!

nice job. i was out ther by bruce and lost 2 on the kastmaster (blue and silver) with 1 being high 4 low 5's. wish i cld make it out ther nxt week since this was my first time fishin the vine and cant wait to get out ther again

Great report Hitts. I'm glad you and your lady friend were able to hang around, don't know if my lady would of lasted as long as she did since this was her first fishing trip.
