First off sorry for the delayed post but better late than never
So my son (desertfishen3) and I thought we would give it a try after a couple of days of sunshine. Not to bad, 11 total son 8 me 3, but one of mine was a 6 lbs 7 oz beauty. 1 dink 7 (1.5-2.5 lbs), one 3lbs 4 oz, one 3lbs 10 oz and my 6lbs 7 oz.We farmed out 3-4 each and my son had a monster to the boat then she saw the boat and said NO WAY down to the brush GOOD BY. We have landed a 9 lb lmb but this one was 10 ++. That happens with 4 lb line. but you still know what almost was. Caught on dropshot robos and senkos dark colors 5-25 feet. Looks heavier to me.

pic of the 6.7lb and one pic from last week of our big fish (5.6lb) caught by my other son(DesertFishen) last weeks total was 18 between 3 of us and several of those were 3-4lb

Nice job! I remember discussing with you and your son how hard it would be to control a large fish. But I bet it was a blast fighting that big one!

You guys are getting some real nice quality fish. I seem to have the quantity part mastered. However, in the quality department " I ain't their yet".

:EyePop: Wow Nice day on the water. It was good catching up on the phone last Saturday and thanks for the fish report. Pics do seem to make them a bit larger than lbs and ozs over the phone. Hope to see you all out on the 30th. :Big Grin:

Nice Fish........I have lost some fish to the "Weed Gods" with #4 test myself. Last weekend I waited a couple of minutes, letting slack out of my line, then tighting it back up. The fish wouldn't move........

I feel your pain, it is always worst when you get to see them too. Anyway, excellent job!! Nice Toad!

good to see you are still out there whacking the bass....nice job..

As far as the size......tis the season...alot of bass right now will weigh in lighter than they actually look because there are alot of post spawners...

Nice job on that 6 lber!!!
